About the Artist

I am Maurizio Sergiusti, known as Scoobafish. I live and work in Olbia, Sardinia, where I transform decommissioned road signs, marine plastic waste and found objects into sculptures and installations.
From my mother, a painter, I inherited a love of art; from my father, a watchmaker, precision and the habit of recognising possibilities in objects. In my work, materials retain traces of their previous lives while taking on unexpected forms, combining humour, beauty and unease.
In TuttiFrutti, road signs become sculpted fruit: colour and material invite reflection on consumption and waste. In Plastic Apocalypse, reclaimed plastics take shape as sculptural figures. In Urban Pixel, each road sign remains intact and becomes a unit of an image, part of land art installations viewed from above, with distinct daytime and nighttime appearances.
