Shipments
SHIPPING COSTS
Professional standard insured shipping is included in the price of the artwork, both in Italy and abroad.
For monumental or oversized artworks, we will contact you after the order to verify the destination, access conditions, and safest transport solution.
Any customs duties, local import taxes, and additional services, such as delivery to the floor, unpacking, or installation, are not included and remain the buyer’s responsibility.
PREPARATION AND DELIVERY TIMES
Preparation times depend on the dimensions of the artwork and the type of packaging required. After placing your order, we will inform you of the expected date on which it will be handed over to the courier.
Once the courier has taken charge of the shipment, delivery generally takes place within 6–10 business days in Italy and 10–14 business days for international destinations.
Monumental artworks, shipments requiring a custom-built crate, and deliveries subject to customs procedures may take longer. Any updates will be communicated before shipping.
Deliveries are not normally made on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
SHIPPING METHODS
To organize shipments, I rely on Mail Boxes Etc., which selects the most suitable courier or carrier based on the dimensions, weight, and value of the artwork, as well as the destination.
Monumental or particularly delicate artworks may require a custom-built crate, pallet shipping, or a specialized transport service.
Once the shipment has been dispatched, you will receive an email with the tracking number, if provided by the selected service, and useful information for tracking the delivery.
I recommend providing a phone number during checkout at which the courier can contact you.
INSURANCE
Each shipment is insured for the declared value of the artwork against theft, loss, and damage during transport.
The coverage and carrier are selected based on the value, characteristics, and destination of the artwork.
In the event of damage, it is essential to keep the original packaging and follow the procedure indicated in the “Damage During Transport” section.
ARTWORK PACKAGING
Each artwork is individually packaged according to its dimensions, weight, materials, and degree of fragility.
Packaging may include protective materials, reinforced corrugated cardboard, a pallet, or a custom-built crate. For larger or delicate artworks, preparation and sealing may be entrusted to specialized professionals.
Keep the original packaging after delivery: it will be necessary in the event of a possible return or future relocation of the artwork.
The procedures for opening, assembling, or installing the artwork depend on the individual piece and, when necessary, will be communicated before delivery.
DAMAGE DURING TRANSPORT
At the time of delivery, carefully check the condition of the packaging before signing the courier’s document.
If you notice impacts, holes, crushing, openings, or other irregularities, photograph the packaging and sign subject to specific inspection, describing the visible damage. If the damage is severe, you may refuse delivery.
In the event of damage to the packaging or artwork, contact us within 48 hours of delivery by writing to info@scoobafish.com. Include the order number and attach photographs of the packaging, shipping label, and damaged parts.
Keep the artwork and all original packaging materials until the inspection has been completed. Do not return the artwork on your own: wait for instructions to arrange collection or the most appropriate solution.
This procedure is necessary to promptly open a claim with the courier and insurer, without prejudice to the rights granted to the customer under applicable law.
