DESCRIPTION OF THE ARTWORK
Woman in Gold is my reinterpretation of Gustav Klimt’s Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, commonly known as The Woman in Gold, created by assembling hundreds of reclaimed objects.
I worked for more than 450 hours, using approximately 50 kg of discarded electronic components and everyday objects. I did not try to hide their origin: the original shapes, colors, and surfaces become part of the composition.
Viewed from a distance, the artwork reconstructs the image and geometry of Klimt’s painting. As you approach, the figure breaks apart and reveals hard drives, computer keys, caps, cables, and many other fragments of our daily lives.
The contrast between gold, a symbol of value and permanence, and materials now considered useless transforms the artwork into a reflection on consumption, waste, and the possibility of giving new beauty to what we have stopped seeing.
AUTHENTICITY AND PROVENANCE
The artwork is a unique piece, signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity stating its title, year of creation, technique, dimensions, and photograph.
The certificate documents the artwork’s originality and provenance.
